Hyderabad-headquartered Volty loT Solutions, India’s largest manufacturer of GPS and loT devices, will set up its AIS 140 GPS manufacturing plant near Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh and invest 50 crores in next three years.
The dedicated facility to manufacture AIS 140 GPS devices certified by ICAT ( International Centre for Automotive Technology) New Delhi, and this will be the second plant , however, the first plant in Hyderabad ( Telangana state) had already manufacturing 1000 devices per day, said Konark Chukkapally, CEO, Volty loT Solutions Pvt Ltd in a press conference here on Monday.
The initial capacity of the new plant was 2,000 devices per day and commercial operations will start from July next year, he informed and said with the new plant, we will likely to be spruced up to about 3000 devices production in the next financial year.
The devices would help local market requirements like Sand and Mineral mining and passenger safety devices requirement in all public transport vehicles, Chukkapally said that we are closely working with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state governments on various projects and we have already supplied 2,000 AIS 140 GPS devices for sand transportation vehicles in Andhra Pradesh out of the requirement of 20,000.Each device consisting of double SIM chip, cost would be between Rs 7000-8000, the CEO said the new facility would create between four to five hundred jobs.
