The Uttar Pradesh government has extended the weekend lockdown in the state as the situation is going out of control. However, looking at this Yogi government decided to extend weekend lockdown for one more day, as if now the lockdown would start from Friday night to Monday morning but now it will be extended till Tuesday. The move from the state government comes after the High Court had sent alarms for rising Covid cases in the state.
During the weekend lockdown, the state government said all markets, private and public offices will be closed from Friday night to Tuesday morning till further orders.
As per the latest order, the markets, shopping malls, and restaurants will also be closed. The government has advised people to remain indoors and only those involved in essential services will be exempted from the restrictions.
