Darbhanga: Two FIRs have been registered against Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, for allegedly organizing a political programme at a Dalit hostel in Darbhanga without prior permission from the authorities.

The event, held during his recent visit to Bihar, has sparked a political row, with the ruling BJP slamming Gandhi for “violating the law” and “misusing government property for political gains.”

Bihar BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal strongly criticized the Congress leader, stating: “Rahul Gandhi tried to break the law by coming to Bihar and conducting a political program in a government hostel without permission. FIR should be registered. Rahul Gandhi is not a God, he should be sent to jail,” Jaiswal told reporters.

The FIRs have reportedly been filed under sections pertaining to unlawful assembly and trespass, though official details on the specific charges are awaited.
