A devastating incident unfolded on Friday in Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj district, resulting in the loss of fifteen lives, including seven children, when a tractor-trolley overturned and plunged into a pond. According to local authorities, the occupants of the vehicle were en route to take a dip in the Ganga river in the Patiyali area of the district when the tragic accident occurred on the Patiyali-Dariyavganj road.
Senior police officers reported that the group was headed towards the Ganga riverbank to participate in a customary ritual when the unfortunate incident took place. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined, but preliminary investigations indicate that the tractor-trolley overturned, leading to the fatal plunge into the pond.
In the aftermath of the accident, police officials swiftly responded to the scene, along with emergency medical personnel. Around twenty individuals who sustained injuries in the incident were rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention. The injured are currently receiving treatment, and their condition is being closely monitored by medical staff.
