“Till Delhi Gets Its Rights, I Will Keep Fighting for You”: CM Rekha Gupta Vows Action for Yamuna and Civic Infrastructure

Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday made a strong commitment to the residents living on the Yamuna’s eastern side, pledging a series of infrastructure and civic improvements aimed at transforming the area.

“A very large number of people live on this side of the Yamuna in Delhi and are waiting for Mother Yamuna to be cleaned… Mother Yamuna will start appearing better and more beautiful with time. There will be water lines and sewer lines all across the Yamunapar. Wherever there is no water pipeline, water pipelines will be laid there. Wherever there is a problem of parking, multiple parking lots will be built. Wherever there is no toilet, toilets will be built there,” CM Rekha Gupta said during a public address.

The Chief Minister emphasized her personal dedication to the people of Delhi and assured citizens that she will continue to fight for their rights. “…I assure you that your Chief Minister Didi will not be afraid, will not get tired, will not lose. Till Delhi gets its rights, she will keep fighting with you. It is my vow to continuously fight for you…” she added.

This statement reflects the CM’s focus on improving basic civic amenities while also addressing environmental concerns. The government has outlined plans for extensive water and sewerage line installations along the Yamuna’s eastern banks, alongside the development of multiple parking facilities and public toilets where they are currently lacking.
