Thane Youth Congress workers protest over unemployment, demand jobs

Due to lockdown nearly 12 crores job losses in every sector due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Thane: The youth congress workers from Thane staged “Rozgar Do” agitation against BJP led-Central government over increasing the number of unemployment in the country and India Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has declined nearly – 23.9 percent of GDP in Thane, informed Thane youth congress leader.

The “Rozgar Do” campaign was initiated under the banner of Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress in Thane on Thursday. 

Nearly 300 workers of youth congress from Thane city participated in the protest before Thane collector office in Thane.  The protest was led by Satyajeet Tambe, President- Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress.

Meher Choupane, General Secretary & spokesperson Thane District Youth Congress, Adv. Mohammad Zia, Secretary (MPYC), Ashish Giri, President of Thane, Wasim Hazrat, President of Kalwa-Mumbra along with 300 workers were attended in this protest. 

The memorandum of unemployment issues and inauspicious policies of the Central government had given to Thane collector Rajesh Narvekar.

The BJP-Central government is not paying attention to lost 12 crores jobs and GDP issues during this epidemic period. The Modi government had assured to every youth of India to get 2 crore job in a yearly but it is not done like yet.

The economy of India has been suffered a huge worsened situation during this period. Although the pretending of coronavirus outbreak, the Central Government are seen to avoid this unemployment and GDP issues”. 

Choupane said that Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is about to initiate a “Mahajob portal” in Maharashtra soon which help the youth of the state will get jobs and unemployment will get end up soon.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the month of May 2020, had announced an Rs 20-lakh-crore stimulus package, equivalent to about 10% of India’s GDP, aimed at making the country self-reliant and reviving the stalled economy, but this benefits could not get to unemployed youths yet”, Choupane added.

He further said, “We have demanded behalf of crores of unemployed youths of India with PM Narendra Modi government let us give the job”. –By Narendra Gupta
