In the wake of the alarming incident outside Bollywood icon Salman Khan’s residence, Mumbai Police swiftly took action, apprehending two individuals from Navi Mumbai suspected to be connected to the shooting. The episode unfolded early Sunday morning when assailants on a motorcycle discharged five rounds outside Salman’s abode at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. Prompt investigation led to the identification of the perpetrators through CCTV footage, with the police swiftly zeroing in on their whereabouts.

Authorities disclosed that the motorcycle used in the attack was later discovered near the Mount Mary Church, situated in close proximity to the actor’s residence. Notably absent during the incident was the Mumbai Police van typically stationed outside Salman’s home, raising questions about the adequacy of security measures.

Adding a layer of complexity to the narrative, Anmol Bishnoi, purportedly affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the assault. In a brazen Facebook post, Bishnoi asserted that the shooting served as a “trailer,” hinting at more severe repercussions unless Salman tenders an apology to the Bishnoi community.

The roots of this conflict trace back to Salman’s entanglement in the notorious blackbuck poaching case of 1998, marking the genesis of a longstanding feud with Lawrence Bishnoi. Despite being granted Y+ security by Maharashtra Police in 2022, the recent events underscore the persistent threat looming over the actor’s life.

While Salman Khan is yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident, his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, conveyed a stoic resilience, dismissing the threats as mere ploys for attention.
