Pune: Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) MP Supriya Sule on Wednesday urged the Maharashtra government to uphold its commitment of releasing the Pune land dispute probe report within the promised 30-day timeline. Speaking to reporters, Sule reminded that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had publicly assured that the inquiry report would be completed and submitted within a month, a statement widely broadcast across news channels.

Sule remarked that only a week had passed since the CM’s promise and stressed the need for patience, but also accountability. “If they themselves said the report would be ready in 30 days, then that timeline must be honoured. Only one week has gone by. Three more weeks remain. Let us wait and see what happens within these three weeks,” she said.

The Pune land dispute—now a politically sensitive issue—has triggered demands for clarity on alleged irregularities, disputed claims, and suspected misuse of official influence. Opposition leaders, including Sule, have pressed for a transparent investigation, emphasising that the final report must be released publicly to ensure credibility.

Sule maintained that no political leader should comment conclusively until the report is submitted. “Only after the report is ready can anyone make meaningful observations. Until then, speculation will only add confusion. Let’s wait and see,” she said, calling for restraint even as political tensions rise.
