Doctors working in many private hospitals and clinics in the state died due to corona. According to the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and the union of doctors is to be believed then the death toll of the martyred doctors has crossed 60.

Many families have also applied to the state government, but their application was rejected because they were doctors from private hospitals. The union of the doctors complained about the discrimination by the government.

Recently, after this issue started heating up, State Chief Secretary Pradeep Vyas wrote a letter to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informing that doctors of private hospitals are also providing their services to contain Corona as well as other patients as per the orders of the state government.
