A Spanish woman tourist faced a harrowing experience of sexual violence in Jharkhand’s Dumka district on Saturday, according to local reports. The incident, which occurred within the jurisdiction of the Hansdiha police station, involved an unknown number of men who reportedly gang-raped her in the early hours of the morning. The victim, who was on a bike tour with her husband en route to Bhagalpur via Dumka, recounted in her complaint that the assault took place after she set up a tent and slept in a secluded area beyond the Hansdiha market.

The perpetrators forcibly entered her tent while she was asleep, subjecting her to a vicious attack that included both sexual assault and physical violence. Following the ordeal, the woman was admitted to the Saraiyahat Community Health Centre (CHC) for medical treatment.

Reports indicate that SP Kherwar promptly visited the scene late at night, underscoring the severity of the situation.
