Shimla: Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi was admitted to the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) in Shimla on Saturday, June 7, for a routine medical check-up. She has since been discharged following a satisfactory medical examination.
According to Naresh Chauhan, Principal Advisor (Media) to the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, the senior Congress leader was admitted due to minor health concerns. “She is currently stable and under observation as doctors assess her condition,” Chauhan informed earlier in the day.
Sonia Gandhi had arrived in Shimla on a personal visit on Monday, June 2, accompanied by her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. The mother-daughter duo is currently residing at Priyanka Gandhi’s home in Chharabra, a picturesque location on the outskirts of Shimla.
