Amidst ongoing discussions within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has shed light on the agenda of the latest meeting, stressing the importance of a Common Minimum Programme (CMP) over immediate seat-sharing talks. The remarks come amidst speculation regarding the distribution of seats among alliance partners ahead of the upcoming elections.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the MVA meeting, Sanjay Raut outlined the primary focus of the gathering, indicating that discussions would primarily revolve around joint rallies, campaign strategies, and the formulation of a Common Minimum Programme. Raut clarified that while senior leaders from the Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena (UBT) would convene, seat-sharing negotiations would not be on the agenda.

“Today there is a meeting of MVA, senior leaders of Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena (UBT) will assemble, but there is no discussion on seat-sharing in the meeting,” Raut stated. “The primary focus is on joint rallies, campaigns, and what should be the Common Minimum Programme, on which topic we have to move forward,” he added.
