Eknath Khadse, a prominent Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), faced a health scare on Sunday when he suffered a heart attack. The 71-year-old veteran politician was swiftly admitted to Gajanan Hospital in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, following the medical emergency.

Reports indicate that Khadse had been experiencing chest pain since Saturday night, prompting him to seek a routine medical check-up on Sunday at the hospital in Muktainagar. During the examination, doctors detected concerning anomalies in his physical condition, leading to a diagnosis of a heart attack.

To ensure his swift and comprehensive medical treatment, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde arranged for an air ambulance to transport Khadse to Mumbai. The transfer was scheduled for Sunday evening around 7 pm, as per Marathi daily Maharashtra Times.

Dr. Vivek Chaudhari, who has been overseeing Khadse’s medical care, stated that the seasoned politician had been experiencing chest discomfort for the past 48 hours. Fortunately, Khadse’s condition is now stable, although he will require further medical attention in Mumbai.

Eknath Khadse, a prominent figure in Maharashtra’s political landscape, made headlines when he left the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2020 to join the NCP. The news of his heart attack has raised concerns and garnered attention within the state’s political circles.

The state eagerly awaits updates on Khadse’s health and hopes for his speedy recovery.
