Notably, Praful Patel, nominated by the NCP (Ajit Pawar group), has stirred heated discussions due to the unusual circumstances surrounding his nomination. Patel’s term as a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) still has three years remaining, leading to questions about the necessity of his re-nomination at this juncture.
