Nashik: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Tuesday reiterated the party’s openness to a potential alliance with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), saying a positive response has been extended from their side. He, however, issued a firm message that any collaboration must exclude those who, according to him, have “betrayed Maharashtra”.

Speaking to reporters, Raut said, “We have maintained a positive response till the end. We want to tell the people of Maharashtra and everyone else that if you believe Uddhav ji and Raj Thackeray ji should come together in politics for Mumbai and Maharashtra, then we have given a positive response from our side.”

However, he added a key caveat. “We have one clear position, I won’t call it a condition, those who have betrayed Maharashtra, whether it’s the BJP, Eknath Shinde, or anyone else, should not be welcomed or joined. That’s our only stance. Apart from that, we are ready to welcome you,” Raut emphasized.
