New Delhi: A Russian envoy on conditions of anonymity while reacting to the news article appearing on thenews21.com on February 16, has rubbished what he called Western media contentions surrounding the demise of Alexei Navalny in Russia yesterday.

The Russian envoy argued that Alexei Navalny was sentenced for money laundering and denied that there was any evidence to suggest Russian special services had poisoned him. He further argued that Alexei Navalny was beneficial to topple the current regime in Russia and hence had sponsored him. He further argued that there was no reason for the Kremlin to pay any attention to Alexei Navalny.

We here at thenews21.com are merely reproducing the clarification of the Russian envoy.

“Well, he (Alexei Navalny) was sentenced for money laundering but not for fighting for so called western view democracy. Secondly, there is no evidence that Russian special services poisoned him with Novichok, what for???”

“But there is one important thing that for sure he (Alexei Navalny) was very very beneficial for the West to topple the current government in Russia. And he (Alexei Navalny) was sponsored by them. And in your version of the article it is seen that his death is not a simple coincidence. But try to think logically, why should the Kremlin pay so much attention to that guy???”

“One thing is obvious, happily he (Alexei Navalny) didn’t manage to come to power as in that case today you won’t be able to see such a strong power (Russia I mean) in the world fighting for real freedom and real democratic values, protecting interests of the rest of the world.”
