Srinagar: Khurmur is a far-flung village that is devoid of any easy access to basic medical facilities. Keeping this in mind, 21 Rashtriya Rifles (21 RR Guards) in collaboration with Ayush and U/D Chutipura on Saturday organised a medical camp in the village to benefit the locals with basic medical aid.
The medical camp consisted of doctors and pharmacists from Ayush medical unit, district hospital Handwara which includes specialists from Gynaecology, Paediatrics, general medicine department and Yoga instructor.
In this medical camp Dr Ismail, Dr Shahi Jahan Wani, Dr Syed Ubaid, Dr Umer, Dr Seema, Dr Maria, Dr Mehwish, senior pharmacist Farooq Ahmad and pharmacist, Samieullah Shah took part in this camp. Local people appreciated the Ayush unit Handwara for their work.
A large number of locals turned up for treatment which included 147 women, 194 men and 89 children. Medicines including immunomodulator medicines were distributed to all the locals along with knowledge of Yoga and its benefits.
