Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has reportedly received a serious threat demanding Rs 10 crore.
As per India TV sources, the alleged threat was sent through a voice note from an international number. The message was reportedly delivered to the WhatsApp account of the actor’s manager, creating immediate concern within his team.
Link to Lawrence Bishnoi Gang
Sources told India TV that investigators suspect the involvement of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The demand for Rs 10 crore was allegedly made in the voice message.
During the early stage of investigation, officials reportedly found that the voice in the audio clip matched that of Harry Boxer, who is believed to be an active member of the gang. However, police are still gathering technical and forensic evidence to confirm the findings.
Investigation Status
According to India TV sources, the Mumbai Crime Branch has started a preliminary inquiry. The actor’s manager has recorded a statement with the police.
Officials are also examining how the voice note was routed from an American number and whether it was masked using digital tools. As of now, no formal FIR has been registered, but the inquiry is ongoing.
The threat reportedly came shortly after a firing incident at filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence, though police are verifying whether the two incidents are connected.
Security Tightened
Following the threat, security arrangements around Ranveer Singh have been strengthened as a precautionary measure. Authorities are taking the matter seriously due to recent gang-related incidents targeting celebrities.

On the professional front, Ranveer Singh is celebrating the massive success of his film Dhurandhar, which reportedly crossed Rs 1000 crore in India and over Rs 1300 crore globally.
The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar, is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 19 in multiple languages. The film also stars R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and others in key roles.
