Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday cautioned against viewing the ceasefire in West Asia as a complete resolution of the crisis, stating that the situation on the ground remains uncertain and requires continued vigilance.
Ceasefire Not Equal to End of Crisis
“There has been a formal ceasefire, but given the situation on the ground, it would not be appropriate to assume that the crisis has completely ended,” he said.
India Prepared for Any Situation
Reassuring the nation, the Defence Minister stated that India is well-equipped to handle any potential fallout arising from the conflict.
“We have sufficient reserves to deal with any kind of crisis in the country,” Singh said, underlining the government’s preparedness.
Government Monitoring Situation Closely
He further added that the government is actively monitoring developments and taking necessary steps to ensure stability.
“The government is continuously ensuring that there is no crisis of any kind, even after two to three months,” he said.
Global Tensions Still a Concern
The remarks come amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainty in West Asia, where despite a ceasefire, underlying tensions and strategic challenges continue to pose risks to regional stability.
