Rahul Gandhi Raises Alarm Over Dubious Voting Patterns, Demands Transparency from Election Commission

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again raised serious questions over the integrity of India’s electoral process, this time through a detailed presentation highlighting what he described as “dubious voting patterns” in recent elections. His revelations have triggered widespread calls for transparency and accountability from the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) spokesperson Clyde Crasto amplified the demand through a sharp tweet, stating: “A brilliant expose via a detailed presentation by #RahulGandhi on the dubious voting patterns in our elections. Now, it is the turn of the ECI to provide the ‘CCTV Footage’ and the ‘Electronic Voter List’. People of India need answers. The ball is now in the court of the Election Commission of India. VoteChori”

Rahul Gandhi’s presentation reportedly showcased inconsistencies and suspicious trends in polling data, including abnormal voting surges in select constituencies during specific time windows, a mismatch between registered and actual voters, and questions around electronic voter lists.

He also called for the release of CCTV footage from polling booths and access to booth-wise electronic voter records to allow independent verification by opposition parties and civil society groups.

The Congress leader has framed this as a “battle for democracy”, asserting that the sanctity of the vote must be non-negotiable in any democratic setup.

Opposition leaders and civil society activists have now joined the chorus demanding the ECI respond with transparency and furnish the requested evidence. The hashtag #VoteChori has since begun trending on social media platforms, indicating growing public interest in the issue.

So far, the Election Commission has not officially responded to either the presentation or the demands made by opposition leaders.

As public scrutiny mounts, all eyes are now on the ECI and its willingness to address these grave concerns over the credibility of India’s electoral process.
