Delhi: Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Sunday delivered a blistering rebuttal to Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of repeatedly making statements that undermine national interest. Reacting to Gandhi’s recent comments, Chandrasekhar said the Congress leader’s remarks should not be taken seriously by the public.
Offering what he described as “honest advice,” Chandrasekhar said, “My honest advice to the people is not to listen to Rahul Gandhi’s words of wisdom. Sorry, but Rahul Gandhi embarrasses himself time and again.”
The senior BJP leader went a step further, extending his criticism to the Congress organisation as a whole. “In Kerala, or elsewhere, the Congress Party behaves in the same manner as Rahul Gandhi. They don’t think in the national interest, because these things don’t matter to them,” Chandrasekhar added.
His comments come amid heightened political tension, with Rahul Gandhi intensifying his criticism of the Centre on issues ranging from governance to constitutional concerns. The BJP, meanwhile, has repeatedly accused Gandhi of making “irresponsible” statements without understanding the implications.
