Posters Hailing Owaisi as ‘One Man Against Terror’ Emerge in Hyderabad After AIMIM Chief Slams Pakistan During Foreign Delegation Visit

Hyderabad: Posters featuring All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi have appeared on metro pillars across Hyderabad, following his participation in a high-level all-party delegation that visited Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain. The delegation was led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda and briefed leaders in the region on India’s stance post the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor.

The flex boards of Owaisi showcased powerful slogans such as “One man against terror, one truth against Pakistan, exposing the enemy within, for India, with pride”. These posters were seen as a response to Owaisi’s vocal stand against Pakistan during the international tour, particularly in Algeria.

Addressing Algerian media, think tank members, and the Indian diaspora in Algiers, Owaisi described Pakistan as the “epicentre of Takfirism”, asserting that terrorist groups in Pakistan share the same ideology as Daesh and Al-Qaeda. “Pakistan is the epicentre of Takfirism, and there is no difference in ideology between the terrorist groups in Pakistan and Daesh and Al-Qaeda. They believe that they have a religious sanction, which is completely wrong. Islam does not allow the killing of any person, and unfortunately, that is their ideology,” Owaisi stated.

He further reiterated his long-standing demand to put Pakistan back on the Grey List of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). “Terrorism survives on two things – ideology and money,” said Owaisi, drawing parallels between terrorism in Pakistan and Algeria’s own experience during the Black Decade.

“Once you bring Pakistan back in the Grey List (of FATF), we will see a decrease in terrorism in India. We’ll see killings coming down. We have the 2018 experience when Algeria and other countries helped India,” he added.

During the delegation’s interactions abroad, the Indian team emphasized the nation’s resilience and unity in combating cross-border terrorism and highlighted the significance of Operation Sindoor as a swift and strategic response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
