Prime Minister Narendra Modi exuded confidence on Monday, asserting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is poised for a resounding victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

During his address in response to the debate on the motion of thanks to the President’s address, PM Modi projected that the NDA would secure over 400 seats, with the BJP alone clinching 370 seats. He expressed his conviction while addressing the Lok Sabha, emphasizing the prevailing sentiment across the nation.

“The third term of our government is not very far now. Only 100-125 days remain to go. I don’t go into numbers but I can see the mood of the country. It will make the NDA cross 400 and BJP will definitely get 370 seats,” Modi declared confidently.

Looking ahead, Modi outlined his vision for India’s future, promising that the nation would ascend to become the third-largest economic power globally during his third term. He anticipated making significant decisions that would shape the trajectory of India’s development for the next millennium.

“India was the 11th largest economy in 2014. Today, India is the 5th largest economy and yet they (Congress) are silent. They had even lost the ability to dream. It is Modi’s guarantee that in our third term, India will be the third-largest economic power,” the prime minister asserted.

Highlighting the achievements of his government over the past decade since assuming office in 2014, PM Modi underscored the strides made in housing for the underprivileged and job creation.

“We built 4 crore houses for the poor. For the urban poor, we built 80 lakh pucca houses. Had these been built at the speed of Congress…it would have taken 100 years to do this work. Five generations would have passed by then,” he alleged.

Modi also emphasized the substantial increase in employment opportunities, with over 18 crore new subscribers registering with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in the last decade.

As PM Modi charts the course for India’s future, his ambitious vision and confidence in the NDA’s electoral prospects set the tone for the political landscape in the lead-up to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
