PM Modi Assures Full Central Support to Uttarakhand Amid Dharali Flood Crisis

New Delhi: In the wake of the devastating cloudburst and flash floods in the Dharali area of Uttarkashi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a telephonic conversation with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to take stock of the situation and review the ongoing relief and rescue operations.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, PM Modi expressed concern over the scale of destruction caused by the natural disaster and inquired about the latest updates on the ground. CM Dhami briefed the Prime Minister on the challenges being faced due to persistent heavy rainfall, which has hampered access in some regions, but assured him that the state government is responding with full preparedness.

“All concerned agencies—state police, SDRF, NDRF, and the Army—are working together in coordination to provide immediate assistance to the affected people,” CM Dhami informed the Prime Minister. He added that despite the difficult weather conditions, efforts are being intensified to locate missing persons and restore essential services in the affected zones.

Prime Minister Modi assured Chief Minister Dhami that the central government stands firmly with the people of Uttarakhand in this hour of crisis. He guaranteed all possible support and resources from the Centre to aid the relief operations and ensure the safety and rehabilitation of the victims.
