Chennai: Union Minister and BJP’s Tamil Nadu election in-charge, Piyush Goyal, on Thursday strongly condemned DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin for making what he called “anti-national” statements. Speaking to reporters, Goyal said the remarks were divisive and aimed at creating communal tensions in the state.
“The High Court has already passed an order against his hate speech. We totally oppose Udhayanidhi Stalin for spreading such anti-national sentiments. I demand that he be removed from the government immediately,” Goyal said.
He added that strict action should be taken against the DMK leader for delivering hate speech that threatens social harmony. “Statements like these divide people and create communal disharmony, which cannot be tolerated in a democratic country,” the BJP leader remarked.
