In a startling revelation, Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Syrus Sajjad Qazi accused India of orchestrating extra-judicial and extra-territorial killings of Pakistani citizens. During a press conference held on Thursday, January 24, Qazi alleged that two Indian agents, Yogesh Kumar and Ashok Kumar Anand, were involved in the targeted assassinations of two Pakistani individuals. India, as of now, has not responded to these serious allegations.

According to Qazi’s detailed account at the media briefing, Indian agent Yogesh Kumar purportedly recruited a laborer named Mohammed Umair to establish contact with local criminals in Pakistan. The objective was to trace and assassinate Shahid Lateef. Qazi claimed that after multiple failed attempts, Umair, taking matters into his own hands, formed a team of five target killers. The group reportedly succeeded in their second attempt, killing Shahid Lateef on October 11 of the previous year.

The Foreign Secretary asserted that Umair and others involved in Lateef’s killing have been apprehended. During their interrogation, they allegedly disclosed their connection to Indian agent Yogesh Kumar. Qazi also accused another Indian agent, Ashok Kumar Anand, of orchestrating the killing of Pakistani citizen Mohammed Riyaz on September 8 the same year. According to Qazi, Mohammed Abdullah Ali, arrested in connection with Riyaz’s murder, revealed during interrogation that he was recruited and guided by both Ashok Kumar Anand and Yogesh Kumar.

Qazi claimed that the communication between the agents and their recruits took place through the Telegram application, and payments were allegedly made via intermediaries in other countries.

The Foreign Secretary strongly criticized India, stating that these extra-territorial killings had become a “global phenomenon” and highlighted the growing sophistication and audacity of Indian-sponsored terrorist acts in Pakistan. He noted that similar cases had surfaced in other countries such as Canada and the United States. Qazi concluded, “Clearly, the Indian network of extrajudicial and extra-territorial killings has become a global phenomenon.”

India has not issued any official response to these accusations, leaving the international community awaiting further developments and clarity on the serious allegations made by Pakistan.
