Patna: Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial candidate and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav reaffirmed his commitment to a people-centric governance model, promising to fulfil every announcement made by his alliance.

Speaking at a press briefing in Patna, Tejashwi Yadav said the coalition’s promises were not mere words but solemn pledges to the people of Bihar.

“The announcements we made yesterday are our pledge. We will fulfill it together. And we’ve also made some major announcements,” Yadav said.

Elaborating on the party’s agenda, Yadav emphasized the revival of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), calling it a crucial step toward securing the future of government employees. He also announced plans to set up division-wise press clubs and journalist hostels across Bihar, aiming to strengthen media infrastructure and support working journalists.

On administrative reforms, Yadav assured that all government employees — including police personnel, nurses, and teachers — would benefit from a fair and transparent transfer policy.

“We will ensure that they are transferred and posted within a 70-kilometre radius,” he added.

In a sharp jibe at Union Minister Giriraj Singh, the RJD leader said, “The amount of work we did in those 17, 18 months is something Giriraj Singh hasn’t done in his lifetime.”
