New Delhi: In a bold diplomatic push following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, India has launched “Operation Sindoor”, a global outreach campaign sending multi-party delegations abroad to present a united national front against terrorism and to expose Pakistan’s long-standing complicity in cross-border attacks.

The initiative — termed unprecedented in its scale and political unity — has already dispatched its first two delegations to Japan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The effort seeks to engage global stakeholders, highlight India’s counter-terror operations, and counter Pakistan’s narrative on the world stage.

Speaking to news agency before departure, Shiv Sena MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, who is leading the UAE-West Africa delegation, remarked: “I am fortunate to lead a group going to UAE and West Africa. It’s important to tell the world what India has endured for years.”

He further added: “India and Pakistan gained independence at the same time, but India has been progressing economically, while Pakistan has only progressed in terrorism.”

Meanwhile in Tokyo, JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha’s team held strategic discussions with Indian Ambassador Sibi George. Among the delegates was BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi, who said:

“We had a very good discussion with the Ambassador and his team. We wanted to understand Japan’s perspective, especially on the Pahalgam attack.”

Echoing the sentiment, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj called the Pahalgam incident “a blow to the soul of India.”

“Operation Sindoor is a new pledge of justice. PM Modi has made it clear that terror and talks can’t go together, blood and water won’t flow together, and trade and terror won’t happen together,” she told news agency.

BJP veteran SS Ahluwalia, also part of the outreach, emphasised the mission’s objective to shatter Pakistan’s “false propaganda” with verifiable facts.

“We’re here to ensure the world knows what India has endured and how we respond — with clarity, strategy, and resolve,” he said.

The delegations are scheduled to travel to South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and parts of West Africa over the coming weeks, amplifying India’s message of zero tolerance toward terrorism.
