Srinagar: Northern soccer cup 2022 was kick started on Monday in the memory of Late Colonel Ashutosh Sharma in Handwara. Civil society of Handwara rolled out Northern soccer 2022 at Boys Higher Secondary school Handwara.
Tournament was graced by ADC Handwara Nazir Ahmad, DDC Rajwar Mir Sulaiman, Vice principal Govt boys’ Higher Secondary school Kifaytullah Shah and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
Talking to the media, civil society members said that they really missed Late Colonel Ashutosh Sharma as he did great work during his duty and he gave us a platform for playing football. And also, we engage youth with sports and our motive is Drugs-free Kashmir. A total of 32 teams from entire North Kashmir are participating in the tournament.
