Patna: As Bihar gears up for its upcoming state elections, political activity is intensifying on both sides of the aisle. While the opposition Mahagathbandhan is exploring its strategy and leadership, the ruling NDA has seemingly settled the question of its chief ministerial face.

A high-level meeting of opposition leaders took place in Delhi recently, attended by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. The focus was on strengthening the alliance and possibly finalizing a CM face for the Mahagathbandhan in the lead-up to the elections.

In response, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, put all speculation to rest about the NDA’s leadership choice. Speaking to the media, Nishant revealed, “Why wouldn’t the BJP make him CM? Amit Shah uncle recently came to Bihar and clearly said that my father will remain the CM face. Then Samrat Choudhary also stated that Nitish Kumar has been with us for the past 15 years.”
