Srinagar: To commence the New Year 2022 on a good note and keeping the expectations of local youth in mind to carry out positive engagement with the youth by providing them employment opportunities, Indian Army in collaboration with Hawk Eye Commando Security Pvt Ltd, (CSPL), Bomhama, Kupwara carried out an employment drive on the occasion of New Year’s Day at Kigam.
A selection team of 10 members from the security agency carried out screening, interview and documentation of youth for selection and employment as Security Guards at various locations such as Hotels, Banks, Malls & Industries within the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
A total of 180 candidates had applied for the job and attended the selection process. Out of which 53 have been shortlisted and will be employed as Security Guards at various locations by the end of this month with a minimum salary of Rs 9000/-.
The conduct of the event on the commencement of New Year was aimed to give a message to the youth that the Indian Army is always there to help them excel for their better future and a better Kashmir.
This initiative of the Army was appreciated by the youth and the locals as it has given a ray of hope to the unemployed youth by providing them job opportunities.
