Gandhinagar: In a strategic move to rejuvenate state governance, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday formally announced the new 25-member Gujarat cabinet. The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, coinciding with the auspicious Vijay Muhurat, with Governor Acharya Devvrat administering the oath of office and secrecy.
Among the notable appointments, Harsh Sanghvi was sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister, while new entrants Rivaba Jadeja, wife of cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, Arjun Modhwadia, and Kantilal Amrutiya joined the state council. Ravindra Jadeja was present at the ceremony to witness his wife’s historic induction.
The cabinet expansion follows the resignation of the previous council of ministers, except for CM Patel, described by party officials as a “strategic reset” aimed at strengthening governance and including fresh talent in key portfolios.
The new cabinet includes a mix of retained ministers and new faces, representing both general and reserved constituencies:
