Aspiring medical students across India can now kickstart their journey towards a career in medicine as the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 has officially commenced. Hosted on the new website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) NEET at neet.ntaonline.in, the registration window provides candidates with the opportunity to take a significant step towards their dream of pursuing undergraduate medical courses.

To facilitate a smooth registration process, the official website of NEET UG hosts an information bulletin containing crucial details regarding the exam pattern, syllabus, eligibility criteria, qualifications, and other pertinent information. Prospective candidates are encouraged to carefully review this document to ensure they meet all necessary requirements before proceeding with their application.

For the convenience of candidates, a total of 554 examination centres have been designated across India. However, it’s worth noting that there are no provisions for examination centres outside India. As such, candidates must plan their examination city preferences accordingly.

During the registration process, candidates are required to select four cities from the provided list, indicating their preference for the exam centre in order of priority. It’s important to note that the choice of centre cities will be limited to the state of permanent or present address only, as specified in the official release.

Additionally, candidates should familiarize themselves with the fee structure outlined for NEET UG 2024:

  • General/NRI: ₹1700/-
  • General-EWS/OBC-NCL: ₹1600/-
  • SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender: ₹1000/-

The registration window will remain open until March 9, 2024, providing interested candidates with ample time to complete their application process. However, it’s advisable to register well in advance to avoid any last-minute rush or technical glitches.
