AAP Demands Strict Action Against Alleged Paper Leak Network
New Delhi: The controversy surrounding the cancellation of the NEET-UG examination intensified on Friday after Saurabh Bharadwaj met the family of a medical aspirant who allegedly died by suicide in Delhi’s Lal Bagh area following reports linked to the examination paper leak case.
Speaking to reporters after meeting the family, Bharadwaj said the student had been preparing for admission into an MBBS course for several years and was emotionally devastated after uncertainty emerged over the examination process.
According to him, the student reportedly considered the recent exam attempt to be her final opportunity to secure admission into a medical college.
‘She Was Under Immense Mental Stress’
Bharadwaj claimed that news regarding the alleged paper leak had deeply affected the aspirant, who was already under pressure due to years of preparation and competition surrounding the medical entrance examination.
“She had been preparing for admission to an MBBS program for several years… I was informed that this was her final opportunity,” Bharadwaj said.
“When the news of the paper leak surfaced, she became deeply distressed. I was told that she was under immense mental strain; tragically, she took her own life,” he added.
The AAP leader also referred to reports of similar incidents emerging from other states, claiming that anxiety and uncertainty linked to competitive examinations were severely impacting students across the country.
AAP Questions Probe Into Paper Leak Case
Bharadwaj criticised the handling of the alleged paper leak investigation and urged the central government to identify those allegedly responsible for organised exam irregularities.
“It is simply implausible to merely apprehend some minor professor and declare him to be the mastermind behind this entire affair,” he said.
“The real masterminds are those powerful and influential figures operating behind the scenes and the government must track them down,” Bharadwaj added.
The remarks come amid continuing political debate over alleged irregularities in national-level entrance examinations and demands for stricter safeguards to prevent future leaks.
Appeal To Students Amid Growing Concerns
The AAP leader also appealed to students not to take extreme steps due to academic pressure and uncertainty linked to examination controversies.
He urged authorities to reassure students and restore confidence in the examination system by ensuring transparency and stronger security mechanisms in future tests.
The NEET-UG issue has triggered widespread concern among students and parents across India after allegations of paper leaks and exam-related irregularities surfaced in multiple regions.
