Navi Mumbai: With the possibility of elections to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) being declared any time many political parties have already started their poll preparations. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which recently formed its committee in Navi Mumbai for the NMMC elections is desperately trying to be in the picture and also get noticed to the public and are coming up with various initiatives. In one such move the AAP representatives from the city met the NMMC Commissioner Abhijit Bangar on September 8, 2020 as a goodwill gesture.

The co-convener of AAP Navi Mumbai Mallika Sudhakar, co-convener of women’s wing Sulochana Shivanandan and the president of AAP legal cell Suvarna Joshi met the NMMC Chief and told him that the AAP Navi Mumbai is keen on fulfilling its moral and social responsibility in the fight against the corona pandemic.
Mallika Sudhakar informed, “The AAP team of Navi Mumbai is ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with the NMMC and will support in whatever way it can to curb the coronavirus pandemic.”
AAP Youth wing president Chinmay Gode & the president of AAP Social Media Cell Sunil Jadhav together appraised the NMMC Commissioner about the Oximeter Campaign carried out by AAP volunteers.
Mallika Sudhakar informed, “The NMMC chief listened to us attentively and he also spoke about the safety issues of volunteers and the public and also assured the cooperation to us.”
Soon after the meeting with NMMC Chief the AAP Navi Mumbai wing treasurer and social media convener presented a bouquet to the NMMC Commissioner and also expressed his gratitude towards the Commissioner Abhijit Bangar for sparing some time and listening attentively about the various problems from AAP representatives.”-By Abhitash D.Singh
