More than 217 crore 26 lakh vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Over 14 lakh 91 thousand doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
The recovery rate is currently at 98.71 per cent. As many as six thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries has reached over four crore 39 lakh 84 thousand.
Over five thousand new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload currently stands at 45 thousand 281.
Active cases stand at 0.10 per cent. The daily positivity rate is at 1.68 per cent and Weekly Positivity Rate is 1.70 per cent. Over 89 crore 30 lakh tests have been conducted so far. Over three lakh 20 thousand tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
The Health Ministry today said that over 203 crore 42 lakh vaccine doses have been provided to States and Union Territories so far through the Centre’s free of cost channel and through the direct state procurement category. It said, more than three crore 51 lakh balance and unutilised COVID vaccine doses are still available with the States and UTs to be administered.
As part of the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, the Centre has been supporting the States and Union Territories by providing them with COVID vaccines free of cost.
In the new phase of the universalisation of the COVID-19 vaccination drive, the Centre procures and supplies free of cost 75 per cent of the vaccines being produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country for States and UTs.
