The Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SCP) unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, outlining a comprehensive array of promises aimed at addressing key issues affecting the nation. 2. Empowerment of State and Local Governments: The manifesto advocates for empowering state and local governments, reviewing power distribution mechanisms, and enforcing constitutional amendments to strengthen democratic governance.
3. Reservation Policy and Labour Rights: NCP-SCP vows to demand a constitutional amendment to raise the 50 per cent cap on reservations, ban contract labor in government sectors, and ensure legal protection for the benefits of contract workers.
4. Endorsement of Congress’ “Nyay” Guarantees: The party endorses the five guarantees outlined by the Congress manifesto, focusing on issues concerning farmers, youth, women, laborers, and caste census.
5. Humanizing GST and Economic Policies: NCP-SCP promises to give the Goods and Services Tax (GST) a “human face” and restructure taxes on petrol and diesel to alleviate financial burdens on the common populace.
6. Affordable Energy and Welfare Measures: The manifesto pledges to keep LPG cylinder prices at ₹500 and subsidies them if necessary. Additionally, the party commits to restructuring petrol and diesel taxes for the benefit of the public.
