Nagpur: In a dramatic turn of events, the house of Minorities Democratic Party (MDP) leader Fahim Khan was demolished by authorities in Maharashtra’s Nagpur following his alleged involvement in last week’s violent clashes. The action, carried out using a bulldozer, comes as part of a crackdown on those accused of inciting unrest in the city.

According to officials, Khan is the alleged mastermind behind the large-scale violence that erupted in Nagpur on March 17. As per the second FIR lodged at Ganeshpeth police station, he allegedly instigated a mob of around 500 people, leading to widespread clashes, vandalism, and even attacks on law enforcement personnel.

Authorities stated that the demolition was carried out due to illegal construction on Khan’s property, aligning with recent actions taken against individuals accused of disrupting public order.

The violence in Nagpur had sparked significant political debate, with opposition parties questioning the law-and-order situation in the state. However, the ruling government has justified the demolition as a firm response to those allegedly involved in spreading chaos.
