MVA Govt ropes in Ranjitsinh Disale to conduct inspiration workshops for Teachers in Maharashtra

Mumbai: After having won the prestigious Global Teachers’ Prize in December 2020, Ranjitsinh Disale, a Zilla Parishad school teacher from Solapur’s Paritewadi village is the most sought after motivator. Taking note of his expertise and innovative teaching methods, the Maharashtra Government has decided to conduct a ‘Teachers’ Inspiration Workshop’ through Ranjitsinh Disale.

The objective of the government is to inspire teachers and to introduce them to advance teaching technology. For this, Disale would be visiting all the districts to conduct workshops and guide educators.

Maharashtra Rural Development minister, Hasan Mushrif feels that Disale’s guidance will help in bringing about massive change in the field of education.

Disale was named the winner of the Varkey Foundation-UNESCO $1 million Global Teacher Prize for his innovative experiments through technology in teaching. He was honoured for “transforming the life chances” of girls at Zilla Parishad Primary School in Paritewadi – a village in Maharashtra where tribal communities have traditionally denied girl child formal education.  

Through Virtual Field Trip, a unique education initiative, Disale has been imparting education to more than 1400 students from 143 countries. Further with the help of technology and to impart impactful education, he has mentored more than 16,000 teachers from the state, which is drawing good result.

Mushrif said, through this workshop, teachers who do not know about Disale will be introduced to his work and will also inspire them in their field. “Teachers will gain confidence and with that they will work with more enthusiasm. Besides, it will also help in changing the perception among people towards government aided schools”, Mushrif said.
