Mumbai: Refuting Maharashtra Government’s claims that the state has been ignored in this year’s union budget; former chief minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday argued that development projects worth Rs 3.5 lakh crore have received budgetary allocation.
Speaking to newspersons here in Mumbai, Fadnavis listed the projects in railway, roads, water resources, agriculture and infrastructure that have been earmarked to receive funds over the next year.

Fadnavis informed that the union budget has proposed to allocate Rs 1.33 lakh crore for roads and infrastructure projects in the state. He added that besides allocating Rs 1,800 crores for phase three of Mumbai Metro, Rs 5,976 crore for second phase of Nagpur Metro, Rs 3,000 crore Pune Metro and Rs 2,092 crore for Nashik Metro, fund has also been earmarked for Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP).
