“Mumbai Aakar Saari Hekdi Nikal Dunga”: Pappu Yadav’s Fierce Warning to Raj Thackeray Over Migrant Remarks

Patna: Tensions flared anew between Bihar and Maharashtra political circles as Jan Adhikar Party chief Pappu Yadav launched a fierce attack on MNS president Raj Thackeray, accusing him of targeting North Indian migrants and playing divisive politics ahead of crucial civic elections in Mumbai.

In a fiery press conference held in Patna on Saturday, Yadav condemned Thackeray’s alleged remarks questioning the presence of Bihari migrants in Mumbai and vowed to personally confront the MNS leader. “Mumbai aakar saari hekdi nikal dunga!” Yadav declared, warning that he would expose Thackeray’s “arrogance and anti-national mindset.”

The confrontation stems from Raj Thackeray’s long-standing demand for job reservations for locals in Maharashtra and his criticism of what he describes as an “unchecked influx” of workers from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh into Mumbai. The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has often faced backlash for inciting regional friction through provocative campaigns against migrant labourers.

Yadav countered these sentiments sharply, saying, “Mumbai is not the property of any individual or political party. It is the financial heart of the nation, built by people from all states — including the hardworking youth of Bihar.” He also urged the people of Maharashtra to reject what he called “hate-fuelled, narrow-minded politics.”

Accusing the MNS of using migrants as scapegoats for political gain, Pappu Yadav said such rhetoric damages the country’s unity. “India’s strength lies in its diversity. Raj Thackeray wants to divide the country by state borders — but we won’t let that happen,” he stated.

Yadav, known for his bold and confrontational style, hinted that he may soon visit Mumbai to lead a campaign in support of North Indian workers. “If Raj Thackeray thinks he can scare people into silence, he’s mistaken. We will stand up for our people wherever needed,” he added.

The political clash has sparked a renewed debate on migrant rights, regional identity, and inclusive development. While MNS supporters argue for local job protection, critics say such policies veer dangerously close to regional chauvinism.

Political observers believe the brewing clash between Yadav and Thackeray may escalate further in the lead-up to the BMC elections, especially as both leaders seek to consolidate support within their respective bases by invoking regional pride.
