Authorities from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and local police immediately rushed to the spot to assess the situation and begin an investigation. The derailment has raised safety concerns over the monorail system, which has faced technical and operational challenges since its inception.
Preliminary reports indicate that only two personnel—a train captain and a staff member from the technical company conducting the trials—were on board at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
