Mira Bhayander: No school can hike fees and force parents to pay fees for three months as per GR, says MLA Geeta Jain

Thane: In the lockdown as people are facing a financial crisis on the other hand, Mira Road’s RBK School is demanding fees from parents. As per reports, RBK School is demanding fees from parents and Rs 10,000 extra for an online class.

As per the government resolution, schools cannot demand fees from parents for three months; however, after MLA Geeta Jain came to know about this matter she intervened in it and spoke with the principal of RBK School. Speaking with thenews21, Geeta Jain said, “I have spoken with the principal of RBK and I made sure that the school does not demand any fees from parents for three months.”

She even said that parents who are willing to pay the fees can pay but the school cannot force any parent for payment of fees in this lockdown. “Those parents who want to pay the fees can pay and those who want the time they have three months of relaxation. Although, the fees will not be waived off. Parents have to pay after three months,” said MLA Geeta Jain.

She even said I have got a complaint that one of the renowned schools in Mira Bhayander is insisting on fee hike. “There will be no fee hike this year as per the GR, schools cannot increase the fees or force parents to pay the fees. I am just telling the schools to please follow GR,” added MLA Geeta Jain.
