Srinagar: In order to provide career counselling and information to the students of North Kashmir about various options available in higher education options in the leading colleges across India, the Indian Army in collaboration with Ministry of Education organized an “Education Fest” at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Handwara on Saturday.
In the event, over 30 colleges from Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, New Delhi, Bangalore, Dehradun participated and guided the youth to select the right courses to achieve their dreams. The same has proved to be very knowledge emanating and helpful for the students of North Kashmir.
The students displayed great response to the fest and approximately 5000 students participated during the fest and took guidance and were very excited to see so many career options which they were not aware of earlier. Such an effort of the Indian Army will help the youth to channelize their efforts towards achieving their goals by choosing the right axis in life. Kashmiri students are looking forward to more such interactive programs in the future.
The Fest was attended by various civil dignitaries to include Ayushi Sudan, DC Kupwara, Dawood Ayub, SP Handwara, Irfan Panditpuri, DDC Chairman, Suleman Mir, DDC Rajwar, Khurshid, DDC Mawer, Dar Chief Education Officer Kupwara and principals of all higher secondary schools in Handwara region.
