Srinagar: In a shocking incident, a man was arrested by Srinagar police on Wednesday after a video went viral on social media, showing a dog tied to his Scooty and being dragged on the road.
Srinagar police in a tweet, said that “There is a viral video wherein a bike rider had tied a dog and was dragging this dog. FIR 31/2023 u/s 429 IPC & sec 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act (PCA) was registered at Nishat police station.”
The accused has been arrested and has been identified as Abdul Rashid Dar, son of Ghulam Rasool Dar of Gaw Marg Shalimar and his Scooty was also been seized, they tweeted.
