Maharashtra Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule says Uddhav Thackeray should focus on his own party, adding that the BJP remains committed to strengthening Hindutva and the nation's identity.

Mumbai: Maharashtra Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Tuesday said that the Mahayuti alliance is actively working to provide fair representation to its allies, including Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, in upcoming municipal corporation elections. He подчеркed that Athawale has been a part of the Mahayuti’s organisational framework and that special attention is being given to ensure inclusion of backward class representatives, especially in reserved wards.

Bawankule said Athawale consistently advocates for promoting capable and deserving individuals in society, a principle the alliance is trying to follow while finalising candidate lists. He added that discussions have already taken place with Athawale regarding seat allocation and political representation at the civic level.

According to the minister, efforts are underway to ensure that Athawale and his party get due space across multiple municipal corporations. Bawankule revealed that some preliminary lists have already been shared with him, in which seats have been earmarked for Athawale’s representatives.
