Mumbai: Mumbai Police swung into action after a suspicious car bearing a threatening sticker was spotted near the Maitri bungalow of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut in Bhandup. The sticker read, “I will blow this up with a bomb,” triggering immediate security concerns.
Following the alert, a bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot. The police conducted a thorough search of the surrounding area as well as the bungalow premises. After an extensive inspection, officials confirmed that no explosive or suspicious object was found.
According to Mumbai Police, the situation is under control and there is no immediate threat. However, the incident is being taken seriously. CCTV footage from nearby locations is being scanned to trace the vehicle and identify its owner. Police are also checking whether the sticker was part of a prank, a mischief act, or an attempt to create panic.
