Mumbai: As Maharashtra continues to grapple with the emotional shock of Ajit Pawar’s sudden demise, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has questioned the rush and secrecy surrounding political developments in the state. Speaking to the media, Raut said that ordinary citizens, party workers, and even senior leaders remain completely unaware of what decisions are being planned at the top.

Raut remarked that if anyone truly knows what is about to happen in Maharashtra politics, it would only be a small circle of powerful leaders. He pointed towards Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and a handful of senior NCP leaders, suggesting that clarity exists only among those directly involved in closed-door discussions.

According to Raut, Maharashtra as a whole is still in a phase of collective grief. He said the state has not yet come out of the shock of losing Ajit Pawar and that sorrow is visible far beyond political circles. Families across regions are mourning, and public sentiment remains heavy.

The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader questioned the timing of political speculation, stating that while people are still paying tribute and observing mourning, decisions about power and positions appear to be moving silently behind the scenes. He added that even elected representatives do not have clear answers at this stage.

Raut also hinted that some individuals may already be preparing for oath-taking ceremonies, though nothing has been officially communicated to the public. This lack of transparency, he said, has only increased confusion and unrest.
