In several parts of the state, leaders from various parties have submitted their candidacy for the Lok Sabha Election. Meanwhile, in Hingoli, three BJP leaders have simultaneously filed their nomination papers, raising concerns for the Grand Alliance. The Hingoli Lok Sabha Constituency seat has been allocated to the Shiv Sena within the Mahayuti alliance. However, three BJP leaders have rebelled and filed independent candidatures from this constituency.

The rebel BJP leaders include the party’s Lok Sabha in-charge Ramdas Patil Sumathankar, spiritual leader Yogi Sham Bharti Maharaj, and BJP leader Shivajirao Jadhav, who have all filed independent nominations from the Hingoli Lok Sabha constituency. Notably, Baburao Kadam, a leader from the Shinde group, has been announced as the Mahayutti candidate. Meanwhile, the rebellion by the BJP leaders has heightened concerns within the Grand Alliance. Today is the last day to withdraw candidatures, and it remains to be seen what decision the rebel BJP leaders will take.

BJP’s Lok Sabha in-charge Ramdas Patil Sultankar has filed his candidature, and on Sunday, BJP leader Girish Mahajan, along with Union Minister Bhagwat Karad, met him to persuade him to withdraw his nomination. A closed-door discussion lasting nearly two and a half hours took place at Ramdas Patil’s residence, where all BJP leaders attempted to convince him. They have also requested him to withdraw his nomination form. Girish Mahajan has informed Ramdas Patil that he should communicate his decision by tomorrow, making today’s decision crucial.

In the wake of the rebellion by three BJP leaders in Hingoli, BJP leader Girish Mahajan met them on Sunday. Speaking after the meeting, he said, “BJP’s chief functionaries or leaders had filed the form. I came to discuss that matter. I have discussed with all three leaders. I have also discussed with Yogi Shyam Bharti Maharaj. He has been working for the past several days. The family is very big. He has a large number of followers, and he demanded to be nominated. However, this seat is held by Shiv Sena in the grand alliance, and there is no change. As it is Shiv Sena’s seat, we cannot nominate him. If this seat was with BJP, we would have surely considered him. We will go with one thought, so there should be no division of opinion under any circumstances. Each seat is important for us. We have requested Modiji to become the Prime Minister once again. There has been a positive discussion,” said Girish Mahajan.
