Maharashtra government releases order for unlocking, all activities to remain open from Monday

The Maharashtra government released the order late night in which it says that from Monday the state will be divided into five levels depending Covid positivity rate and availability of oxygen beds in Maharashtra.

According to the order, the cities and districts have been divided into five levels. While Mumbai and its suburbs, including Thane, Vasai-Virar, Kalyan-Dombivali, will all be divided, the remaining 34 districts will be treated as separate, single administrative units. Those districts and cities that will be put in level 1 (with less than 5% weekly positivity rate and less than 25% occupancy rate of oxygen beds) will be free of all restrictions.

NEW rules & relaxations

LEVEL 1

– All the activities will be opened up including essential/ non essential shops, restaurants, Malls, Salons, Gyms, Gardens, etc

– Even in marriage halls, cultural events etc… No capacity limit has been set

– Local trains: It says regular, but again local authorities have to decide to open up for everyone or not

LEVEL 2

– Here too, all the activities will be opened up but with some limit in the capacity

Activities allowed with 50% capacity

1. Restaurants (dinning)

2. Malls, Theatres, Multiplexes

3. Gatherings (Social, cultural, entertainment)

4. Marriage halls (50% capacity of hall with maximum 100 people allowed)

5. Gym, Salons, Wellness centers etc

6. Indoor games from 5-9 am & 5-9 pm

*Activities allowed without any time limit or restrictions *

1. Essential & Non essential shops

2. Public places, open grounds etc

3. Private & Govt offices

4. Shooting

5. Funerals

6. Construction

7. Outdoor games

Restricted

– Local trains for everyone. Only allowed are medical, essential etc

– Local authorities can put extra restrictions if any

LEVEL 3

Restrictions in terms of timings of the activities.

(Minimize movement post 5 pm on all the days)

1. Essential shops allowed to remain open till 4 pm on all days

2. Non essential shops allowed to remain open till 4 pm only on weekdays

1. Malls, theatres, Multiplexes etc

Activities with 50% capacity

1. Restaurants (dinning) till 4 pm only on weekdays. Post that parcel/ take away and home delivery

2. Govt offices

3. Gatherings (Social, cultural, entertainment)

4. Marriages (50 people allowed)

5. Funeral (20 people allowed)

6. Private offices can remain open til 4 pm on weekdays.

7. Salon, Gyms – 50% capacity only appointment & no use of AC.

Local trains restricted only for essential.

LEVEL 4

(No post 5 pm movement on weekdays & no movement outside at all on weekends unless emergency)

1. Essential shops will remain open only till 4 pm on all weekdays

ACTIVITIES ALLOWED WITH CAPACITY LIMIT

1. Restaurants- only parcel,

Take away and home delivery

2. Private offices will be open only for exemption category

3. Govt offices will be open with only 25% capacity

4. Marriages only 25 people allowed

5. Funerals only 20 people allowed

6. 50% capacity till 4 pm, with appointment only and NO use of AC. *And only vaccinated customers *

Local trains only for essential people.

LEVEL 5

(No movement without emergency or urgent situations)

1. Essential open till 4 pm on weekdays & weekends on medical

CLOSED

Non-essential shops

2. Malls, Theatres, Multiplexes

3. Gatherings (social, cultural, entertainment)

4. Public places, open grounds

5. Sports & shooting

6. Gym, salon, beauty parlours etc

ACTIVITIES ALLOWED WITH CAPACITY LIMIT

1. 15% capacity at Govt offices

2. Pvt offices – only exemption category

3. Restaurants – Only home delivery, no visiting.

4. Marriages – Only family

5. Funerals only 20 people allowed

Local trains – restricted only for medical personnel
